Summary
- We don’t sell or share your data for advertising.
- Reading data (open books, progress, language selection, settings) is stored on your device.
- Sign-in (if available on your platform) uses Google Sign-In only to authenticate you.
- Our servers verify access and create short-lived signed links to audio/metadata files.
Data we process

Account & authentication
- What: Google profile basics (name, email, Google UID) and auth tokens.
- Purpose: Sign-in, account display, entitlement checks.
- Storage: On-device cache; identifiers also reach our servers when you request content.
- Sharing: Not sold; processed by Google (Firebase/Google Sign-In) as our service provider.

On-device app data
- What: Open books, reading progress, selected languages, local preferences.
- Purpose: Core functionality.
- Storage: On your device only. Not uploaded to us.

Server-side events (when you fetch audio/metadata)
- What: Your app sends a request containing your auth state and the content ID; our servers create a short-lived signed URL. Standard server logs may include IP address, timestamps, request IDs, Google UID/email, and the item requested.
- Purpose: Provide content, fraud/prevention & security.
- Storage/Retention: Operational records and security logs kept for 30 days, then deleted or aggregated.
Data sharing & processors
We use Google Firebase (Cloud Functions, auth) as a processor/service provider under Google’s Data Processing & Security Terms. We do not sell your data.
Data retention
- On-device data: until you clear app or browser data or uninstall.
- Auth cache: until you sign out/clear data/uninstall.
- Server logs/entitlement records: kept for 30 days and then deleted/aggregated.
Changes
We’ll update this page and change the effective date when we make material changes.
